Hello everyone. I am Howard and I live in Clayton, Delaware, in the US. Like most, my first intro to Daniel was Any Dream Will Do, and he was instantly my favorite. I went to YouTube and found everything I could. I am also a fan of Barrowman, so seeing clips of Daniel performing on tour with John was exciting. I pre-ordered my import copy of his CD - complete with autograph! And I love it. I listen to it often still.

I also have my own music blog, and I try to include info about Daniel whenever I can. I look forward to reading some thoughts of like minded people.

Hi, I'm Laurie, and I live near Baltimore, Maryland in the USA.

Any Dream Will Do was finally aired in the USA earlier this year. But somehow I knew of Daniel prior to that since John Barrowman took him under his wing and I was already a fan of John's because of Torchwood. (yeah, I know, kind of a roundabout way to become a fan of Daniel's, but hey....whatever it takes, right?).

Needless to say, I've been scrambling to get a hold of anything and everything of Daniel's I can...I have lots of music and videos downloaded on my ipod, have the So Close CD (pre ordered it so I'd get one of the autographed copies). I suppose I need to get that Christmas CD now! Daniel is on Twitter and it's lovely to follow his 'tweets' -- especially from when he was recently on holiday out in the LA area.

I can only dream that one day he'll come to the USA on some sort of tour....I'm not *that* far from New York that a road trip would be in order.

Guess I'll shut up now!

Glad to be a part of this forum!

Hi everybody,

I'm Sonja, and I'm from Hamburg/Germany.
I took kind of the same way as Laurie in becoming a fan of Daniel: saw 'Doctor Who', liked John Barrowman, watched 'Torchwood', became aware of John's fine voice and watched every snippet I could find of him on youtube. There I of course stumbled upon the clips from Faenol festival 2008, and instantly fell in love with Daniel's voice. Only then I managed to get a copy of ADWD.
I have been lucky enough to see Daniel three times now. Twice in 'Avenue Q', and then at the Royal Albert Hall this June. What an amazing concert that was. Thinking of it still makes me smile. I will be going back to London in January and hope I'll be able to squeeze 'Avenue Q' into my schedule once more :P

Love,
Sonja

Going by my current plans I wouldn't be there on the 30th. But the idea of seeing Daniel's last performance (or maybe even both shows that day) is veery tempting. So if I can get a cheap flight - maybe :D

Hello!

Postby kamea36912 » Wed May 19, 2010 3:34 pm

My name is Kamea, and I'm an Israeli fan of Daniel.
The first time I was aware of him was on Avenue Q.
I am a hugh fan of Avenue Q, and when I've heard Julie Atherton (Which is my favorite female actress on the cast) came back to the Avenue, and that we're going to fly to London, I convinced my parents to go and see Avenue Q.
I entered to the official Q site, and checked out the cast, hoping that Simon Lipkin is back as well as Julie is.
Then, I've read about each of the new cast members, and decided to have a little research over the actor behind my favorite male character from the musical, Princeton, who was no other than our Daniel.
I watched him singing on YouTube, and almost cried! He is one of the most amazing singers I've heard!
He puts so much emotion and energy into the songs he sings. So much it could almost hurt!
Well, after watching Daniel on YouTube, I was more eagar to see Avenue Q.
We did see it, but...Daniel didn't show up that evening! He was sick, as I recall.
Tom Parsons replaced him that evening.
After the things I've heard on YouTube, I didn't give up, and dragged my parents to see Avenue Q AGAIN on the next time we flew to London.
This time, he DID perform. He was a bit less energetic on the beginning, and I think I could give him a few tips, but he got better and better throughtout the show.
After a lot of pleading and bugging, I've got to meet him after the show. He's as adorable as I thought he is...and even more! I've got a hug from him before he went back in! How cute is that?

Well, it's really nice to meet all of you and I hope that I'll enjoy here on the forum! :) x

Hi

I'm Mandy and I live in Leicestershire, UK. I have been a huge fan of the gorgeous Daniel since ADWD. I was gutted when he went out.

I've seen Daniel in a couple of things since, I Love You Because was just amazing at a great venue. We had drinks with Daniel after the show in the pub below the theatre, he was so lovely. I've seen Ave Q 3 times and seen him at the stage door on each occasion, dragging various members of my family along for an excuse to see it again LOL!

My friend and I went to Dress Circle for Daniels CD singing. He reduced me to gibbering wreck when it came to my turn to have my CD signed as he remembered me! I forgot everything I wanted to ask him. I had to remind myself that I'm not 13 anymore but an actual grown up.
That's just the effect he has on people

I've got my ticket for his caberet evening at the Delfont Room in september. I can't wait.
