I went to see Independent Ballet Wales' production of How Green Was My Valley on the weekend which was fantastic and I was wondering if any of you like ballet?

I like ballet, I just don't know a lot about it unfortunately.

It's always on TV at christmas though so I get to watch those productions and i've seen a couple of modern ballets (Edward Scissorhands and The Car Man).

What was Edward Scissorhands like? It sounds an amazing concept! x

It was actually pretty incredible. At first I was a little nervous watching it with the scissors and all but it was fine.
I'd recommend it to anyone, even people not really interested in dance.

It's a Matthew Bourne one so I don't know if you've seen much of his stuff but he does have a fairly different style of choreography from what I can tell.

I've not seen a Matthew Bourne piece but I am aware of his work and would like to go and see one of his productions at some point. Edward Scissorhands really does sound fantastic. x

The Snowman was fab! No dialogue but lots of music and dancing :) The flying scenes were really good!

We got snowed on in the theatre too

Matthew Bourne's Cinderella is touring next year and we already have tickets for it in my house, lol.

Really looking forward to it. Sam Archer is one of the dancers playing the Pilot and Kerry Biggin is one of the dancers playing Cinderella. I've seen both of them dance before (twice actually) and they're both fantastic.
Although, I bet I get the other two dancers, lol. Not that I mind, I bet they're fantastic too.

That's the website with all the tour dates on if anyone is interested. It has informtion about all of Matthew Bourne's other ballets too.
