‘Acoustic Overtures:

The Songs Of Dougal Irvine'

Released November 2011

The long-awaited album features 12 previously unrecorded songs specially selected from Dougal's catalogue of work, with brand new arrangements by Peter White, and performances by leading West End actors Julie Atherton (Avenue Q), Samantha Barks (O2 Les Miz), Annalene Beechey (BBC Prom 59), Daniel Boys (Avenue Q), Sarah Earnshaw (Jekyll & Hyde), Ashleigh Gray (Wicked), Ross Hunter (Legally Blonde), Michael Jibson (Road Show), Sarah Lark (Oliver), Rebecca Lock (Phantom), Cassie McIvor (Scott Alan album vocalist), Amy Pemberton (Rock Of Ages), Stuart Matthew Price (Shrek), Lauren Samuels (We Will Rock You), and George Ure (Wicked), plus a special album foreword by Stephen Fry.

"Dougal's music can be parodic and witty as well as deeply lyrical or fabulously uplifting, rousing and anthemic too ... completely original in tone, style and manner. You hear no ghostly footfalls of Sondheim or Menkin, just the original voice of a wonderful composer/lyricist." -
Stephen Fry.

Standing Ovation - A Tribute to Dress Circle

Released August 2011

Following the announcement in the Summer of 2011 that Dress Circle may be faced with closer for financial reasons, this album was produced by Danny Davies of Pirate Management over the month that followed. Comprising works from artists and songwriters who share in the concerns for Dress Circle`s future, this CD is a tribute to the shop, and it is hoped that it may contribute in some way to the positive future.

About the title track "Shine On Down"
Composed by Danny Davies with lyrics by Pete Gallagher,

"Shine On Down" was originally written for four voices and had been recorded by Daniel Boys, Pete Gallagher, David Berkovitch and Danny Davies, for Danny `s forthcoming album "Hey Producer". As a tribute to all those who make musical theatre the phenomenon that it is, we thought this track was the perfect choice to celebrate Dress Circle and all that it does to support the talent of British actors, singers, composers, lyricists and librettists. An incredible collection of British theatrical talent assembled at The Angel Studios on Tuesday 2nd August 2011 to record `Shine On Down`, in doing so, illustrating their support for Dress Circle in an unprecedented fashion. The soloists included (in order of appearance) Daniel Boys, Stephen Weller, Will Barratt, Mark Goldthorp, Jon Robyns, Kirsty Hoiles, John Barr, Shona White, Shimi Goodman, Julie Atherton, Rosie Ashe and David Berkovitch, accompanied by a host of West End actors including Ivan De Freitas, Lucyelle Cliffe, Alex Scott Fairley, Chantal Amber-Rose, Philip Simon, Constantine Andrews, Rebecca Giacopazzi, Laura Selwood and Rochelle Neil.
